New Permanent Residency program for essential workers and international graduates

On April 14, 2021, Canada announced new Permanent Residency programs for essential workers and international graduates.   Through this program, Canada is set to accept 90,000 new permanent residents.  The streams will remain open until November 5, 2021 or until the quota of 90,000 complete applications is reached, whichever comes sooner.  The government has said that the application process will open on May 6th.  Only those who are in Canada as temporary residents and working with valid work authorization at the time of the application will be eligible.  They have given more detailed instructions on the eligibility requirements through pages that can be found at this link.

You can email Asaf Rashid at if you would like to arrange a consultation or further assistance on your application.

NOTE: Current COVID-19 requirements in Nova Scotia as of April 23, 2021 prevent in-person meetings, so meetings will only be virtual until May 24, 2021 or whenever the restrictions are lifted.
